Looks good Very Happy

This is so exciting. I was always hoping he'd write another for the Landover series. It's coming out just before my birthday too. Cool

Very good cover art. I do have a question though... are the previous Landover books going to be republished with new cover art in a similar style, like they did with Word/Void?

May the best you've ever seen be the worst you'll ever see.

Slade, the previous Landover books are being gathered into two trade paperback omnibuses, both which sport new cover art. The individual paperback books however are going bye bye.

Great cover, I like the little Strabo (I assume it's Strabo) in the corner.

That is awesome, everything a cover should be. Nice detail, great coloring, intrigue. I love it.

The individual paperback books however are going bye bye.

That is interesting. Are the paperbacks just not selling well on their own anymore? I would think with the potential for a movie out there that Del Rey would want as many seperate books out there as possible to cash in.

The problem, apbadd, isn't with Del Rey. It is with bookstores. Bookstores have a limited amount of space on their bookshelves and after 30 books they start picking and choosing what books to showcase on their shelves. It's not too shocking, therefore, to understand they are going to take all of the Shannara novels since they sell better, which leaves them not carrying Landover.

With no Landover books on the shelves, they don't sell and the publisher makes no money.

Omnibuses fix that problem. Although they are more expensive they take up less space and get put in the bookstores. I would imagine in a few years we will see all of the mass market Shannara paperbacks go bye bye too, in favor of the omnibuses.

That is great news for future readers of Shannara. Nothing better than paying for a mass market paperback and getting three (more or less) nice novels in it.

What are the odds they will create omnibuses for Wheel of Time? I want to buy 3 books that contain the whole WOT story. That is feasible, righ? Confused
