As for what the point is...well, he obviously feels that some stuff in his mind about the series that was not put on paper before deserves to be put on paper.

I'm all for it.

if anything, he could always do a bunch of short stories about the surrounding characters and involving Roland in some of them....like the Little Sisters of Eluria...that was awesome....a whole collection of those kind of stories would interest me, but not another full length novel.

You know, I think I should just admit to myself that I'm going to buy and read this.

Did George Lucas change his name to Stephen King? You don't go back to a completed and released work just to "make it better". A sequel would be a complete debacle and the story itself contains prequel elements, not to mention the comics he's allowed. There should be no redoing of the middle. I enjoyed the series a great deal but I'll forego this one.

Where did Roland of Gilead go? Did I not see him leave a farewell or has he been missing in action?

Sadly, he had to leave for a while. He made a post regarding it in early October.

Today is the last day of my job. Poor economy and lack of enough billable hours has caused my termination, as billable hours are the bottom line at law firms. I will probably be very sporadic on the boards in the future, at least until I find employment.

I've enjoyed our many discussions here, and I'll miss the informed debates and fascinating opinions . . . and since I can't resist saying it, I'll bet I'm gainfully employed again long before Martin finishes A Dance with Dragons.

Everyone keep on reading and don't lose your love for books.

You know... I never really thought about it, but you're absolutely right. Question

I am sad about this. I really am. He is my Dark Tower brother in arms. Any news I have about Stephen King I know he will appreciate. Ahh well... get a job, Roland! Let Ka come around for your eventual return.

Great news about the book. I am a huge Dark Tower.

Bad news about Roland. I really hope he gets a new job soon.

This is hilarious commentary on our legal system. Loses his job so no longer has time to f around on a fantasy forum. He will be back on the forums once he lands another job. So backasswards.

Roland's the only person I've ever met who loses his job and then spend less time on the Internet.

It's always possible that he feels hanging out on these types of forums causes him to spend more money, which is not a good thing when you are unemployed. (new authors, books etc.)

He, like a lot of us, likes to read/buy books. He is probably hanging out at the library compiling a list of books he will buy down the road! lol

Slightly unfair to interpret it this way, but I see your point. If this is the case... it certainly wouldn't be limited to the legal system, but rather, society as a whole. Wink
