Anyone hear read Preston/Child's Pendergast novels? I've recently revisited the series and I can't get enough of it.

I'm not dumb. I just have a command of thoroughly useless information.

I've read Preston/Child novels in which Pendergast is a character, but I haven't read the later ones in which he is the main guy.

The latest one Fever Dream took a while to get through, but the one before that Cemetery Dance was really good.

My favorite Preston/Child novels are Mount Dragon and The Ice Limit. The one that started it all, Relic, is very good, too.

I've also read a couple of Child's solo efforts, and one of Preston's.

These are authors I like, but I don't rush out and buy their books the week they are released.

I love these/ Penergast is one of my favorite literary characters. I agree that Fever Dream was a bit of a let down. I am gald Preston/Child are taking a bit of break as they work on their new character Gideon Crew and that series. They need some time away from Pendergast to recharge their batteries so to speak.

The figure slashed again and again in a frenzy of blood and gore. The blood flew from the blade in tiny crimson drops hitting the concrete floor in a steady pitter-patter cadence much like the rain still falling outside... - An excerpt from my debut novel Dying Moon

I agree Shawn. Fever Dream had some good points to it, but they took the long way of getting there. I'm interested to see where they go with Constance now.
